We moved to Alaska.
Army guys from Church recruited Aaron.
He joined the Alaska Army National Guard.
He signed orders for full-time active duty deployed status at Ft. Greeley.
They shipped him south to Texas for Medical Officer Training School for 3 months.
We flew south to Colorado while he's gone.
Saying good-bye was super hard.
I am gaining a real, personal appreciation for the sacrifice of the armed forces and their families.
November 7th can't come soon enough!

Wow! That's quite a story! Congrats and good luck! Living here and having Matt work with many military families has definitely helped me appreciate the sacrifices that so many make!
So much has happened in your lives! If you ever need anything give me a call, I have been through pretty much all of this stuff! I wish you the best of luck in everything!
Wow! I'd love more details! I'm glad you get to enjoy a little more non-Alaskan-winter weather this year without your hubby. I'm sure you miss him a lot, though. Best of luck!
We appreciate his sacrifice too! Thank you for your huge sacrifice giving him up for a few months. I appreciated your sweet remarks on my blog. I wish I could be there to help you out with your four kids, but I know you have lots of wonderful family nearby that can. So glad you can be there with them!
What a lovely little family you have. Love this picture. You all look so happy, and Aaron looks great in uniform!
