I think you have some very valid points about small town schools. I totally relate to you about wanting everything close. It's what I grew up with too. But you are going to have real influence there, and really, what more can you ask for as a parent? That's great. I'm so excited for you guys! I'm also excited to see you in a few days! (You're coming, RIGHT??)
Yay for Xander! I love that our kids are so close in age--Natalie just turned 4 a couple weeks ago. Isn't this a fun age? I am loving my little big girl.
You're a good source of advice for me as far as small town living goes--if Sam has his way (which I'm sure he will, someday), we will be retiring in a small town somewhere. You'll be on my list of people to call to keep me from being scared of it!
thanks for the comment and the compliments. i am excited to see so many of the fam have blogs. i didnt realize that before or know who people were. i was surprised how many cousins had seen the blog. i'm excited to keep up on every ones.
