We'd love to have you!

Dexter's funeral will be on Friday, April 3 at 10:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints building on 950 Laredo St. Aurora, CO. We would love for all of you--of course our family, my sweet young women at church and the rest of our ward family, Aaron's classmates and co-workers and professors, my good friends from high school who are back in Colorado, our babysitting trade friends, all of Dexter's dedicated nurses, therapists, and doctors, any of you who can make it--to join with us! We love you all and appreciate your expressions of love and your continued prayers for us. We feel strengthened.

We decided not to have a traditional viewing. Instead, we will be showing a slideshow of Dexter's little life in the Relief Society room at the Church between 9:00 and 9:40 before the funeral service itself. All are welcome to drop in and remember Dexter and give us as many hugs as you can spare!

Dexter is a wonderful, gentle soul who now waits for the rest of his family to join him. I'm so glad I was able to meet him, even for a little while. ~David

I don't know if you remember me, I was Marliese's roommate in college. I found your blog through hers. I am sorry to hear about your sweet Dexter. Your faith strengthens mine. Our prayers are with you at this time of loss.

Dear Monette,
Karey just told me about your baby and gave me the link to your blog. My heart is so sad for you. My oldest daughter has epilepsy and takes Keppra and Neurontin. We went through all the MRIs and EEGs and spinal taps. We still don't know what is wrong and she's nearly 3. I've imagined myself in your position before . . . of saying goodbye. I am grateful that the Lord had given you promptings and feelings about how long he'd be with you so that you could be prepared. I'll keep you in my prayers. Good luck with the funeral. I know that you are brave and full of faith but everyone has their quiet moments of pain and sadness when no one else can see. I'll be praying for you to feel peace in those moments. I love you.
